BUILDING LEADERS IN FOOD FORTIFICATION
We fundamentally believe that when our clients succeed at fortifying
staple foods, we’re all one step closer to ending malnourishment on our continent. That’s why, in January 2021, Millhouse supplied
and installed a premix plant within Illovo Sugar’s Malawian mill,
at our own cost.
This plant allows Illovo Sugar Malawi to manufacture their own premix, supplying their own, as well as neighbouring, mills. With their newfound expertise and equipment, they’re fully equipped to become leaders
in food fortification, consistently producing fortified staple foods
of the highest quality.
FEEDING PROGRAMMES
In August 2020, Millhouse joined forces with Tongaat Hulett to distribute 30 tons of vitamin-enriched porridge to hospitals and schools in Zimbabwe’s Triangle and Chiredzi region. These meals provided essential sources of nourishment in the midst of the pandemic. We were honoured to have the handover ceremony attended by the First Lady of Zimbabwe.
